Abstract

This research discusses the flipped classroom learning method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to improve student learning outcomes in Grade VI at SDN 2 Mekarsari, Rangkasbitung District, Lebak Regency. This research aims to identify two emerging issues related to the topic, namely: understanding the implementation of the Flipped Classroom learning model and determining how this model improves students’ learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education. This study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR), involving two teachers, students, and reflection in each cycle. The research subjects consisted of 30 sixth-grade students. The results show a significant improvement from the first to the second cycle. In the first cycle, 20 students achieved mastery while 10 students had not yet achieved mastery, with an average score of 78.13 and a minimum mastery criterion (KKM) of 70. In the second cycle, 27 students achieved mastery and 3 students had not yet achieved mastery, with an average score of 83.2 out of a KKM of 70. The overall mastery percentage reached 90.00%, indicating a considerable improvement in learning outcomes. This means the average student achievement in class exceeds a score of 70. Thus, the use of the Flipped Classroom learning model by the PAI teacher at SDN 2 Mekarsari resulted in a significant improvement and made the learning activities more enjoyable.
